There have certainly been a lot of changes in the last six months, and none surpassed by the sheer volume of events and life milestones within the month of May. Now that June is here, I feel like I can finally take a breath. I survived. I wouldn’t necessarily say that I thrived, but it could have been worse, and I came away with a slew of lessons learned and strengths acquired.
Now I’m putting those to work in my newest job as wife. Marrying, traveling with, and moving in with Andrew in the last two weeks has been an adventure in itself already. We found our first apartment, navigated airports and hidden travel expenses and a honeymoon in Hawaii, made plans and then discarded them when his new EAD date was disclosed, and now we’re glad to have some time to rest and be together this summer before the next part of the adventure begins.
We’ll be doing the normal couple things — washing dishes, paying bills, job searching — but in the midst of all of that I expect spectacular things. And (especially now that I have an iPhone), I’ll be doing my best to chronicle all of it.
